These can range from small-scale local festivals held by one of the country’s many tribes and ethnic groups, right up to nationwide Buddhist and Hindu celebrations, full of colour and music.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu. Transfer and check in at hotel.
Day 2: Worship of dog and crow. Visit important shrines of Kathmandu Valley. Light Festival starts, walk thru narrow alley of Kathmandu.
Day 3: Worshipping of holy animal cow and Goddess of Wealth. Sightseeing in Patan. In evening wander thru illuminated old bazaar of Kathmandu to view Light Festival.
Day 4: Worshipping of oneself/body in Newar Community. Sightseeing in Bhaktapur. Visit of one of the Newari house to observe this festival in family atmosphere.
Day 5: Brother Festival, "Bhai Tika". House visit for direct observation
of the ceremony.
Day 6: Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley.
Day 7: Transfer to airport and fly out.
