Description
Among the 18 designated trekking peaks in the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal, Island peak (6189 m) is one of the most scaled peaks among others. The peak has enticed many climbers because of challenging trail yet achievable alternative to scale and stand on top of a Himalayan Peak. Trekking peaks do vary in terms of difficulty from non-technical climbs. Island Peak is mostly a plod up but does require the use of ice axe and crampons and there is one part where a rope is needed.
